What's New
We’ve changed things up a bit to make the walk better than ever!

New Rolling Start!

We're excited to announce a brand new way to begin the walk this year: a rolling start! Like last year, you'll come to Dury Avenue to check-in, pick up your official walk T-shirt and walker bib. Once you do that, you’re free to hit the walk route and make your way to the Finish Line area at your own pace. You might not want to hit the route immediately, though – check out the new, fun activities we’ll have for everyone at the Check-In Area below!

New Passenger Drop-Off!

To help smooth out traffic around the Zoo, we will have a passenger drop-off point right by walker check-in. Drivers can drop off their families, then park at one of the Cincinnati Children's lots and shuttle or walk back over. As the Zoo will be open to the public until 4 pm, this will help ease some of the traffic snarls at the Zoo's parking lot. Download the parking map (PDF).

New Shuttle Location!

To make things easier for our walkers as they leave the Zoo, we’re adding a post-event shuttle pick up stop at the Finish Line area, in addition to the shuttle stop at the Zoo's Vine Street parking lot. Learn more about the shuttle stops.

New Activities at Walker Check-In!

We’re adding some new perks at walker check-in this year. There will be a new team meet-up area with a photo opportunity, Queen City Sausage samples, water stations and face painting for the kids. We’ll also have more shade areas for everyone!

New Activities at the Finish Line!

We’re making the finish line area the place to be this year! There will be ribbons for walkers, water stations and fruit. We’ll also have a band to help our walkers rock to the finish and Eat, Drink, Play Activities for the kids!

Not New, But Good to Know!

The Zoo

Just as it was last year, the Zoo will be yours to explore after the walk. There will be face painting, visits from the Zoo's animal ambassadors and the Zoo's train and concession stands will be up and running, too! A percentage of all purchases made during the event at the Zoo’s concession stands and gift shops will be donated to Cincinnati Children’s.

Registration for Cincinnati Walks for Kids is $25 for adults and $5 for children 17 and younger. This registration fee provides all walkers with an official 2014 Cincinnati Walks for Kids T-shirt, a personal fundraising page, free parking and exclusive admission to the Zoo for the evening.

Same Great Cause!

As always, Cincinnati Walks for Kids is a great way to help Cincinnati Children's change the outcome.

As a walker, you can fundraise for your division, department, or program of choice or you can raise money for the medical center to use where it's needed most. All of the money you raise helps Cincinnati Children's provide hope and healing to children and their families in our community and across the globe.
