Why we walk.
Cincinnati Walks for Kids began in 2006 to help give our patients, families and supporters a way to give back to the medical center.
So many of our patients and their families deal with tremendous emotional and physical challenges, that we wanted to give them a day where they could be with other families who are facing similar challenges, where they could support the medical center and the caregivers who help them every day, and where they could celebrate the triumphs and accomplishments they've had along their medical journey.
We also wanted to create an event where kids and families who may not have many opportunities to socialize and meet with friends could do so in an environment that was supportive and inclusive.
As a medical center, we walk to celebrate and honor our patients and our families. Your strength, your hope, and your dedication to one another are what inspire us every day. All of you are at the heart of all we do. Thank you.
