Why We Walk

Cincinnati Walks for Kids began in 2006 to help give our patients, families and supporters a way to give back to the medical center.

So many of our patients and their families deal with tremendous emotional and physical challenges.

We wanted to give them a day to be with other families who are facing similar challenges. To support the medical center and the caregivers who help them every day. To celebrate the triumphs and accomplishments they've had along their medical journey.

At the walk, kids and families, who may not have many opportunities to socialize and meet with friends, can do so in an environment that is supportive and inclusive.

We walk to celebrate and honor our patients and our families. Their strength, their hope, and their dedication to one another are what inspire us every day. All of you are at the heart of all we do. Thank you.

Celebrate 10 Years!

We've got lots of fun in store for our 10th anniversary celebration of the walk!

Face painting, live music, and free train rides are just the beginning of the fun we've planned for the 2015 Cincinnati Walks for Kids. Check out our plans here!

Register to join us on Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden!
