Why Support the Walk?
Every dollar you raise helps save kids' lives and gives them hope for a more vibrant future.
Each year, Cincinnati Children's interacts with patients more than one million times. Some patients are here for things like ear tubes and flu shots. Some are here with life-threatening illnesses like cancer. And, some are here because they have chronic medical conditions. We know the healing process is more than stitches and medications, so we give our patients emotional support through programs like music therapy, Child Life, and visits from pet therapy dogs. Whatever the reason they come through our doors, Cincinnati Children's is here to help kids heal and grow stronger – both physically and emotionally.
Beyond the bedside, Cincinnati Children's is a research leader. Without cutting edge research, we can't provide world-class care. As a leader in pediatric research, we're making sure we bring together the best scientists and doctors in the world to create a continuum of care for our patients – from lab bench to bedside – so that we're always offering the best chance for a healthy future to every child we see.
As a nonprofit hospital and research center, we depend on philanthropic support. When you walk with us on Sept. 28, you're becoming an active partner in all that we do. You're making a difference in the lives of our patients and their families through the money you raise to help the hospital. Whether you're walking to support a particular program area or the hospital in general, your efforts as walker, from registration to fundraising to lacing up your shoes, are vital to our work!
