Cincinnati Walk for Kids 2020

Cincinnati Children's Psychiatry

Our Cincinnati Walks Psychiatry team is looking for some virtual walkers to help reach the fundraising goal of $5,000. What is Psychiatry going to do with these funds, you ask? Great question! Funds that are allocated to "psychiatry" are going towards the purchase of an outdoor adjustable basketball hoop to be installed in the backyard space on the College Hill Campus (see image below). Funds raised will help cover the replacement of an existing stationary hoop to this adjustable one that can be lowered so younger patients can have a better chance of making some shots when outside looking to burn off some youthful energy.

We all know how related physical activity and mental health are so we think this is a great opportunity to increase age and skill appropriate activities for patients while receiving care at our College Hill Campus.

Help make achieving our goal less of a "long-shot," and consider joining our team as a virtual walker and/or donating to our team. Be sure you select "psychiatry" as the area of the hospital you would like funds to be designated.

Your Team Captain,

Karina Fiebig
