I will be joining thousands of patients, families and supporters of Cincinnati Children’s at Cincinnati Walks for Kids on September 16, 2017 at Coney Island. Please consider walking with us but if you can't, sponsoring me!
As most of you know, my son was admitted to Cincinnati Children's Hospital in May 2014 without a lot of hope to live in the first few days. He had a blood clot in his brain that led to seizures and two strokes. He had four brain surgeries in five weeks and one other surgery since then. Thanks to the wonderful doctors and staff, we were able to take him home almost six weeks after being admitted. We cannot express enough the gratitude we have for the Neurosurgery and Neurologoy teams and their support staff. We had no idea what an asset Cincinnati Children's Hospital was to have in our own backyard.
Three years have now passed and Logan continues to improve daily. He crawls everywhere and gets into everything, something we cherish to watch. The best moment is when he sees us from across the room, smiles and starts crawling to us, pulls himself to his knees and reaches to be picked up. Its moments like these that we really become grateful for Cincinnati Childrens. He amazes us everyday. His therapists and doctors are very encouraged. We couldn't be more proud of him and his fight.
My goal is to raise funds to help Cincinnati Children’s bring hope and healing to children and their families.
Cincinnati Walks for Kids is more than just a fundraiser – it's a great day of family fun and celebration, all for a great cause. I would love for you to join Team Logan at Coney Island and walk with us but if you can't, please consider making a small donation. You can desiginate where you would like your funds to go but if you aren't sure, we are very partial to the Neurosurgery and Neurology departments.
Now, more than ever, each of us can make a difference in the life of a sick child. With your help, we can change the outcome for kids – one step at a time. I want to thank you for your consideration for this wonderful cause.
