My first experiences with my daughter and her journey through heart surgery are what brought me to CCHMC, but I come back to work every day for 100 other reasons, knowing that I am playing a part in changing the outcome together. Emily Chesnut |
We see, firsthand, how the funds we raise impact our program and our patients. Not only that, but we love being able to come together to celebrate and support our patient families like this. Team BMCP's funds raised have directly supported the BMCP Clinical Outcomes Research Enhancement Program which has led to important research that makes a difference in people’s lives served by Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.

Our daughter, Allison, passed away from acute viral myocarditis, an inflammation of the heart muscle, often caused by a viral infection. To keep Allison’s memory alive, our family decided to purchase a paver, engraved with her name. We like knowing that people who walk to and from the Critical Care Building will have the opportunity to see Allison’s name on a paver, and have some notion of how great and special she was.
