Raise to Praise - Ava McErlane
When Ava was younger, she was a patient at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, where she underwent surgery and was admitted for a week to recover. During her stay, she received gifts and crafts that would help her cheer up and stay busy while recovering.
During the holiday season in 2018, Ava reflected on her time at Cincinnati Children’s and wanted to offer that same experience to kids just like her. That’s when she came up with “Raise to Praise,” a toy drive for children staying at Cincinnati Children’s.
Of course, this was just two weeks before Christmas…Ava collected over 200 toys for Child Life and dropped them off right before Christmas.
2019 came around and Ava wanted to go BIG, and she sure did!! We created an Amazon wish list and share away, we were getting packages from all over the tri-state area! Ava was on Channel 19 news and on 2 radio stations telling her story and getting the communities support to make this as big as she could. She collected $1,467 in cash donations and 1,264 toys for Child Life!
Here we are in 2020 where things are now different to say the least. Ava is unable to have her normal toy drive and drop them all off at Cincinnati Children's like in years past! So this year we are working with Cincinnati Children's and started a Giving Hope page to collect donations which in turn will buy "Bundles" for kids!! See below:

Soothing Sensory Specials: For children of all ages with sensory challenges, includes a variety of items that provide sensory stimulation through touch, sight and sound.
