Giving Hope to Kids!
Welcome to My Personal Page
When Liam was born 13 weeks premature in July of 2009, weighing just over two pounds, his parents Jennifer & Jason were blindsided by his arrival. Within three weeks, Liam was diagnosed with Necrotizing Enterocolitis, a life-threatening disease that destroys the fragile bowels of premature babies. Jennifer and Jason were devastated by this news and praying for a miracle, unfortunately this horrible disease overwhelmed Liam's bowels and he passed away in his mother's arms on August 14th.
Even though the family was reeling from Liam's loss, they rallied and were determined to honor their son. "From the beginning," Jennifer says, "My dad wanted something good to come from this." And something has. The Bradley's & Nolen's have kept Liam's memory alive by creating a golf outing fundraiser in his honor. The outing is a "huge family affair". Extended family honors Liam by helping to plan and promote the event and donating prizes.
The annual Liam Nolen Bradley Memorial Golf Outing is held every May, at Pebble Creek Golf Course starting at 1:00pm. The outing is an 18-hole, four person golf scramble, with 36 teams playing. The event also includes a HUGE raffle, silent auction, door prizes & banquet dinner. All proceeds help support NEC Research here at Cincinnati Children's!
Giving Hope, Cincinnati Children's community philanthropy program, is a great way to get involved and really make a difference for sick and injured kids. As a nonprofit hospital and medical center, Cincinnati Children's depends largely on support from the community through events such as Liam's golf outing.
Thank you! Together, we will change the outcome!
