Giving Hope to Kids!
Welcome to My Personal Page
In January 2018 Allison passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 25 from a rare case of myocarditis. Myocarditis is an inflammation of the heart muscle usually caused by a viral infection. A severe case can weaken the heart, which can lead to heart failure, abnormal heartbeat, and sudden death. After Allison had shown flu-like symptoms over the course of a few days she called her parents to come get her from her apartment downtown. Unfortunately Allison suffered from one of the most severe cases of myocarditis and passed away minutes before her parents and sister arrived at her apartment.
Allison, “Big Al”, is the daughter of John and Patty and sister of Katie and Johnathan. Allison worked at Cincinnati Children’s and was very passionate about her job as the New Ventures Manager she started in April of 2017 . She loved baking, being active outdoors, and going to music festivals. Big Al was the most kind-hearted, outgoing, and giving person you would have had the chance to meet.
In honor of Allison, the family’s goal is to have a room dedicated to Allison in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Cincinnati Children’s.
Thank you to our generous supporters who have helped us raise a total of $80,000! We hope you will consider helping us as we work towards our goal of $100,000.
